This practice-oriented course enables participants to independently develop designs for websites and then implement them in code.
For this purpose, the topic of web design is taught in the first step using the tools Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD. Graphics and icons are created with Adobe Illustrator. Here participants learn to create increasingly sophisticated graphics and icons from scratch. Then user experience design is deepened with Adobe XD, so that web layouts can be produced quickly and easily.
Subsequently, a website is developed in HTML and CSS based on the created designs. Thus, the course combines web design and the subsequent implementation in web development. No prior knowledge is necessary for this, but access to the Adobe Creative Cloud should be available in order to be able to use the required tools.
In summary, the course teaches the following content, among others:
- Basic course in HTML and CSS with responsive design
- Detailed basic course in Photoshop with focus on web design
- Detailed basic course in Adobe Illustrator CC and Adobe XD
- Design and implementation of an "Under Construction" page
- Design and implementation of a one-page website with responsive design
In addition, the course offers all participants over 50 downloads, including two icon sets with design instructions in the video and detailed design material. Participants may also freely use the icons created in the course for their own projects.
In particular, the practical implementations promote independent work after completing the course, as shown in the positive response.
